PALLIATIVE MEDICINE
FOR CANCER PATIENT |
by:
DR SOON |
If you are
looking for alternative forms of cancer treatment, my advice is
don't. Recent advances have shown that the major benefits of
alternative treatment come from diet restriction and faith
healing. At one time modern medicine did not provide treatment for
advanced cancer. The introduction of Palliative Medicine worldwide
has solved this problem. Palliative care or hospice has been
proven very effective as shown by the results across nations
throughout the world
Acupuncture was at one time believed to provide pain relief. However,
subsequent scientific studies found no evidence of pain relief.
Empirical observation shows that pain relief in acupuncture can be
attributed to the patients' faith. A close cousin of faith is
hypnosis. Hypnosis had been proven to relieve pain.
Herbal Medicine was at one time believed to help strengthen the body's ability to eliminate cancer cells. They do not however cure cancer, but
provide 'palliative care' to improve the quality of life of a person suffering from cancer.
Homeopathy was wrongly believed to be effective in providing relief from the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation.
Mind and Body Treatment focuses on a persons emotions, behaviour , faith and
spiritual values. It is believed that a person must maintain a positive attitude and live a life free of mental and emotional stress. The Mind and Body treatment has been found to be very effective and powerful in dealing with cancer, and perhaps even preventing it.
Enormous amount of research is currently being conducted in
several top institutions throughout the world in this area, known
as psychoneuroimmunology.
Nutrition, Diet, exercise and adequate sleep have been found to be effective in preventing tissue and cell damage and ensuring the proper immune function of the body.
The theory behind this is known as free radical theory
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been found to be effective in providing relief from the side effects of the conventional treatments of cancer. Practitioners of this form of medicine recommend the use of herbs like Asian Ginseng,
and Dong Quai.
Palliative medicine and hospice care have
mainly taken over the role of these ancient forms of alternative
treatment. Some of these ancient treatments have been integrated
into palliative medicine for faith and cultural reasons.
